What To Expect

  • Your first appointment in our office will start with meeting one of our doctors to discuss your health concerns and reason for your visit.

  • After the consultation the Doctor will preform an examination that includes a series of range of motion tests, orthopedic tests, and functional movement tests. These tests will help the doctor learn more about your condition to develop the best possible treatment plan for you.

  • After the consultation and examination with the Doctor’s recommendation, a series of X-rays may be taken of the areas of main complaint as well as the areas of concern from the examination. These X-rays help the Doctor show what is going on in the body and how we can help you.

  • Your second visit is usually 24-72 hours after your first visit. This visit consists of one on one time with the doctor where they will explain the results they observed in the consulation, examination, and X-rays. The Doctor will explain the best treatment plan that will help decrease pain and improve your function to allow you to enjoy your activities of daily living.

After meeting with the Doctor, a team member will meet with you to discuss cost of care based off insurance benefits or self pay options. Our goal is for you to know what to expect financially with your visits and have everything explained up front.

  • Treatment plans vary per person based on results observed in the consulation, examination, and X-rays. Also the Doctor takes into consideration your reason for coming into our office and your personal health goals. In general our goal is to focus on decreasing pain, gaining range of motion, and increasing function. Treatment plans can consist of adjustments, therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, spinal decompression, electrical STIM, and other therapies as needed. These therapies strengthen muscles and ligaments around the joints to help adjustments last longer.

  • Chiropractic wellness care focuses on keeping your body functioning properly. Routine chiropractic care can help ensure that your physical problems do not return, and help keep your body in optimal condition. It is important to continue chiropractic care to ensure the health of your musculoskeletal system.

  • Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health. Chiropractic services are used most often to treat common musculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches.

  • One of the most common and well known therapeutic procedures performed by doctors of chiropractic is spinal manipulation (sometimes referred to as a “chiropractic adjustment”). The purpose of spinal manipulation is to restore joint mobility by manually applying a controlled force into joints that have become hypo-mobile – or restricted in their movement – as a result of a tissue injury. Tissue injury can be caused by a single traumatic event, such as improper lifting of a heavy object, or through repetitive stresses, such as sitting in an awkward position with poor spinal posture for an extended period of time. In either case, injured tissues undergo physical and chemical changes that can cause inflammation, pain, and diminished function for an individual. Manipulation, or adjustment of the affected joint and tissues, restores mobility, thereby alleviating pain and muscle tightness, allowing tissues to heal.

  • Chiropractic stretches and exercises are forms of rehabilitation used to strengthen the musculature in the human body and increase overall range of motion. By strengthening the muscles surrounding the spine, you can shorten recovery and decrease your chances of repeat injuries.

  • Spinal decompression therapy may be used as a non-surgical method of relieving upper, mid, lower and neck pain. A motorized traction device works by gently stretching the spine using specific computer generated commands. The spine is made up of dozens of bones and cushioned by discs called intervertebral discs. The relief comes from pressure being relieved from the gel-like pads between the discs. The pressure relieved can relieve nerves that have been trapped. The main benefit may come from allowing nutrient rich fluids, water and oxygen to enter the area to begin the healing process.
